Banyak kios dadakan ngejual roti, pizza (mahal buanget pizzanya!), keju, kacang2an, kerajinan tangan, daging, dll). Intinya, Piazza del Duomo wajib didatengin kalo ke Milan.

// On January 3rd 2013, I arrived in Milan safely. The first place I went to in Milan was Piazza del Duomo. It’s the real centre of Milan. The Cathedral of Piazza del Duomo is the city symbol and the plaza outside is massive enough to become a central meeting point for everyone. I came here several times during my Milan visit. So pretty and totally a must-see if in Milan.//

// The Cathedral is third largest Catholic Church in the world after St Peter’s in Rome and the Seville Cathedral, so it’s quite big. No entrance fee to enter the building, but I had to pay 2 € (euro) for my taking pics inside the Church. The interior of the Church is gothic and there are so many statues there (I heard around 3000 statues). After touring inside, I found out that there was another entrance door at the back (left side) of the Church, leading me to the roof. I had to pay an extra fee; 7€ for climbing the stairs (250 steps) or take the elevator for 12€. I took the stairs. The thing was I had to wait a few hours to finally get on top cause it was temporarily closed due to thin ice on the rooftop floor. (It’s winter). //

Jalan-jalan diatas atap gerejanya seru banget.

// On the top floor, the view was fabulous. Seriously unmatched. It was not a hundred percent bright clear day but I could see a glimpse of the Alps from afar. The view of the people walking around on the plaza below was really unique as well. Loved it. I spent more than hour up there admiring the architecture and of course the stunning view.//

Fiuh.

// On the plaza, -the extension of the cathedral, I think- I found hundreds or maybe thousands of birds! Birds everywhere, just like I imagined it would be. I like the birds, but dislike some people (I think they are immigrants) trying to shove things in my face to buy birds foods. They all said some similar line “It’s free…take it…it’s for you! Take it bella….Don’t be scared…Free! Free! Take it!” but surely they are not free. Really should be careful with them, cause they are everywhere. I know that pickpockets in Milan are a serious risk. They are common and extremely skilled. I remember looking at a bunch of suspicious looking fellows walking away – avoiding some police patrol officers; and I believed we were followed by some guys after using the ATM!!  The bottom point is, just enjoy the moment but always be alert.//

If you want to understand what’s most important to a society, simply look at its buildings
