Berkunjung ke San Siro & Ketemu Paolo Maldini – The Story.

Pertama, KOPI-nya. Gue memang bukan pecinta kopi, tapi di Milan gue menemukan kopi yang bener-bener nikmat, sampai sanggup membuat seorang bukan pecinta kopi like me, jatuh cinta.

Gue suka banget AC Milan, terutama pemain belakangnya, Paolo Maldini.

// A month ago, early in January 2013, I traveled to Milan, Italy. There are a few things I remember clearly about Milan. First, the super delicious coffee that’s probably the best coffee I have ever had in my life (no wonder the founder of Starbucks was inspired by Milan back in 1983)- ; second, the Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting in Santa Maria Della Grazie Church; which got me really upset because it was so hard to book a tour to the Chapel (seriously!!!); and the third is San Siro Football Stadium. San Siro Stadium is the home of both giant Milan’s football Clubs: AC Milan and Inter Milan. I like AC Milan, especially the left back, Paolo Maldini. Viva Maldini! //

Jadi nggak ngebosenin. Begitu sampai gue udah cukup hepi foto-foto di luar dan memutuskan untuk nggal ambil tur kedalam seharga Rp.200 ribuan –> (belajar ngirit! hahaha)

// In order to get to the stadium, I had to go to the closest metro station to San Siro, which is ‘Lotto’. I thought the stadium was near from the metro exit. Apparently it’s not. I had to walk around 30 minutes and I was in heels. Argh. Thank goodness my attention of how far the walk was, got distracted by a graffiti wall I passed by on the way to the stadium. They’re nice and some of them are very artistic. Arriving at the stadium, I was happy enough to take a –do it yourself- tour outside. I could go inside but I had to pay around 14 euro per person (kalo gak salah). I passed the offer //

Sepanjang jalan gue berusaha nyari lambang “M” alias Metro (kereta) tapi nggak nemu-nemu. Jadi selama satu setengah jam, gue ngikut ini bis belok kiri, belok kanan, ngetem sana sini, sampai akhirnya dia berhenti di……San Siro Stadium!! Hahaha! Jadi ternyata ini bis rutenya cuma muter doang! Amit-amit deh gue buang waktu disitu.

// The funny thing happened when I tried to find a way back to Lotto Metro (I didn’t want to walk anymore). I took a bus that stopped in front of the stadium, hoping that it would take me to any metro station. The bus stopped there for a looongg time…and when it finally departed, it made a lot of stops, waiting for passengers. I was looking for a Metro sign, so I could get off the bus, but couldn’t find any. Around one and a half hour later, still no Metro sign, the Bus arrived to its final destination..which was the San Siro Stadium!!. My goodness. I felt so stupid. HA! //

Hore!!!

// At San Siro Stadium I wished I could meet any AC Milan player, but no one was there. A wish was just a wish until I got back to Indonesia and I heard about this charity match between AC Milan Glory VS Indonesia All Stars in GBK – Gelora Bung Karno Football Stadium- Jakarta, Indonesia! Wooohoooo! There’s a chance after all to meet the AC Milan players. 😀 The best news is that AC Milan brings all of their A-listers to this match including Mr. Paolo Maldini.//

Gue ngefans banget ama Maldini dari dulu. Waktu kecil kan sama sekali nggak ngerti bola..pokoknya yang main matanya bagus, jadi ditonton deh! Hahaha. Aw senangnyaa!! Norak banget nih ketemu Maldini! Untung orangnya baik dan mau diajak foto. Kenang-kenangan bener nih bisa foto bareng. Makasih Maldini~

// I remember becoming a big fan of Maldini while growing up. I thought he’s cute. 😀 Come on, I was a young girl. Back then, watching football was never about the game….it was always about the players. Every World Cup I always rooted for Italy, because Maldini was there of course. So knowing that he and his team is coming to town, I just have to be there. and the game is todaaayyy… I booked myself a good seat in GBK and then got ready… I brought my camera and some good friends to watch the game with, cheered happily, went to the restaurant where AC Milan had dinner after the game, managed to join the dinner, and then took photos with Paolo Maldini at the end of the day. Yeaayyy! Mission accomplished. //
