Me and my boyfriend decided to have a fun date last Monday. So we flew to Singapore and spent the whole day in Universal Studios Singapore. Woohhooo. I think probably everyone I know has been there, since it\u2019s the most exciting place in Singapore at the moment. I also have been to Universal Studios before; but the one I went to was Universal Studios in Los Angeles back in 2008. It was a lot of fun, but I was ALONE exploring the park in L.A! So this time I was sooo thrilled that I got the chance to experience it again with a perfect company!<\/span><\/p>\n

We landed in Changi Airport and took the MRT all the way to HarbourFront Station. From there we rode the Cable Car, the most relaxing way to arrive in Sentosa Island, with a quite dramatic view from the top. I think we had to pay around S$ 29 per person for that.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we got to USS, it was quite early in the morning and it was Monday, so the park wasn\u2019t crowded at all. The tour groups only started coming in after lunchtime and by then, we completed all of the rides. We only aimed for the most popular ones like Transformers and the Mummy\u2019s. <\/span><\/p>\n

I think out of all attractions themed they have – like the Ancient Egypt, Far Far Away, Sci-Fi City, Madagscar, Hollywood, and New York<\/em> – our highlight was definitely the \u2018Revenge of the Mummy\u2019; where we faced warrior mummies in an indoor thriller roller coaster ride. It was fun and we managed to sit on the very first row. Awesome!! As for the scariest ride, the Battlestar Galactica (<\/em>the twin roller coaster), we decided to not get on that! Nop! We weren\u2019t scared! \ud83d\ude00 We just didn\u2019t feel like it at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another fave ar\"\"<\/a>ea would be the \u2018Far Far Away\u2019 where they have this nice castle built up. There, we caught the 4D Shrek show (be prepared for water sprinkling while seated as part of the effects) <\/em>and then watched the \u201cDonkey Live\u201d which was really really cute. After that we had lunch at the only food court in the park, which was really disappointing. Anyways, the funny part was when we saw this ride called the \u2018Treasure Hunters\u2019. It looked pretty inviting and dangerous. There was a long line in front of the ride, so we queued for almost 30 minutes. It was the only ride where we had to queue to get on. We were excited! But when it\u2019s finally our turn, we found out that it\u2019s a children\u2019s ride, which is suitable for kids below 10 years old. It\u2019s one pointless ride as you simply sit on a buggy on a track and go around. HA!<\/span><\/p>\n

We spent the rest of the day walking, talking, laughing, and some photo ops with Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, the Madagascar crew, and some other famous characters. It was a very fun and full of laughter date. At 5 pm we rushed back to catch our night flight back to Jakarta. I like that Monday! ♥<\/span><\/p>\n
